Location: St. Petersburg, Florida Client: The FUEL Group
This hotel/condominium project is for a narrow site along the edge of the downtown district of St. Petersburg. The 410 foot tall, 30 story tower accommodates both the private condominiums and the hotel guest rooms for the full height of the tower.
The tower is sculpted to create curvilinear shapes by incorporating variable depth terraces. The curvilinear forms are also present in the rooftop screens for the mechanical equipment, giving the tower a sail-like nautical feel.
The private condominiums were located within the tower to take advantage of the most desirable views of Tampa Bay to the east, while the hotel guest rooms were located within the western half of the overall plan.
